Today, we’re delighted to introduce a new addition to the Fastback family. With his varied experience and undeniable passion for development, Sylvain Hittelet joins us as a back-end developer. Find out more about our new talent.<\/p>\n


\nA RICH AND VARIED CAREER<\/strong><\/p>\n

Sylvain’s career path began with computer graphics studies, after which he spent five years in Flanders as a video game developer. A gamer at heart, his keen interest in this field encouraged him to move to Canada, where he worked as a video game translation tester.<\/p>\n

On his return to Belgium, he decided to delve deeper into the world of web development, taking a course in collaboration with ULg. As an autodidact with a solid grounding, this course enabled him to consolidate his knowledge and professionalize it. In particular, he learned about different programming languages, such as PHP, the one used for the Fastback software.<\/p>\n

With two partners, Sylvain went on to launch his own communications and website development agency. A successful challenge that further enriched his career! After a few years, he decided to rejoin a team, and that’s how he came to join Fastback a short while ago.<\/p>\n


\nWHY FASTBACK?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Sylvain and Fastback didn’t meet by chance. A few years ago, they worked together for a common customer. The opportunity to work for a company he knew and liked encouraged Sylvain to respond to a job offer posted on LinkedIn, which matched his profile perfectly. And while Sylvain certainly has an attraction for the automotive industry, his main motivation for taking on this position is based more on the desire to join the Fastback team and work on its management tool.<\/p>\n


\nHIS ROLE AT FASTBACK<\/strong><\/p>\n

At Fastback, Sylvain is in charge of developing new features for the VO software we offer to automotive professionals. He is also in charge of maintaining the application, correcting bugs and taking into account customer feedback, in close collaboration with the sales team. He is part of a dynamic team of seven developers.<\/p>\n


\nHIS ASSETS WITHIN THE TEAM<\/strong><\/p>\n

Thanks to his varied experience and solid knowledge of PHP, Sylvain is a major asset to Fastback. His pragmatism enables him to quickly find effective solutions. Always ready to help, he has quickly integrated into the team and become a valued member.<\/p>\n


\nHIS PASSIONS OUTSIDE WORK<\/strong><\/p>\n

When he’s not immersed in coding, Sylvain has many passions, such as board games and woodworking, which he learns in evening classes. He also enjoys archery. A man of many talents!<\/p>\n
